Only a year and a half after launching, we’ve hit a huge milestone: reaching 100,000 members!!
We want to take a moment to thank each and every one of our members for choosing Tide to open their business bank account and being part of our community. Thank you!
Over the past year and a half we have travelled around the UK to meet our members, understanding their businesses, how they use Tide and their most loved product features.
Here are some of our favourite stories:
Ollie Gold, Pophams Bakery
“Pophams was born out of an idea to bring an innovative spin on traditional viennoiserie baking techniques. It is a pastry and coffee shop made for the Instagram age, everything it creates is both delicious and photogenic.”
Ollie has saved a huge amount of time with Tide, “making payments is easy with Tide. I probably spend a few hours a week sorting out the invoices and getting it ready for the accountant. No more than that.”
Kate Holmes, Kitty Holmes
Kitty Holmes creates beautiful, non-toxic, sustainable cushion covers. Kate dreamed up a range of cushion covers that would be both fashionable and champion the very best in sustainable manufacturing.
Kate is a fan of Tide’s ability to make accounting easy, “I really like the integration of Tide and Xero. It’s so seamless. I can just send it all off to my accountant. For someone like me without an accounting background, it’s very easy.”
Minesh Agnihotri, The Kari Club
Kari Club is on a mission to help Brits make their own pukka Indian cuisine with his delivery business, The Kari Club. Each month subscribers receive the recipes and ingredients they need to make authentic regional Indian dishes.
Minesh has ditched the paperwork with Tide, “when you start a business, there’s a lot of paperwork, which you need to find time to do! Using Tide makes managing my time more efficient, as opposed to the other way round.”
Alison Pragnell, Anderida Coaching
“My mission is to drive a cultural change within businesses of all sizes, improving working practices and managerial styles to reduce stress and as a result improve productivity and profit.”
Alison appreciates the quick customer service with Tide, “when I’ve had a query about my account, someone gets back immediately. If I forget my PIN, it’s bish, bash, bosh and I’m in! So simple.”
And we’re delighted to announce that our 100,000th member is… Jemma Mclean, The Cakey Lady!
A family run business in the heart of Letchworth, Jemma creates bespoke handmade masterpieces to share for every special occasion.
We’ve been on quite a journey since launching in January 2017. Here are some of our highlights:
- Huge growth in the Tide team, with over 250 Tideans now on board
- Raising over £26m in funding
- Winning a £60m grant in partnership with ClearBank from the RBS Alternative Remedies Package
- Reaching over 1.75% market share
- Over 12.5 million transactions made by Tide members
